Calongne & Associates, Inc. has been involved in commercial electrical engineering design for facilities for the past 18 years. Our experience includes commercial, institutional, residential and industrial design, maintenance and construction supervision on electrical projects. Commercial design experience includes electrical engineering for offices, schools, hospitals, warehouses, state facilities and retail space. Calongne & Associates also has extensive experience with renovation projects for educational facilities, hospital related buildings and various institutions. Our experience also includes Life Safety Code renovation projects, which include fire, security, and emergency power systems.

Calongne & Associates, Inc. has worked on electrical systems ranging from low voltage control systems through high voltage distribution systems. The low voltage experience includes industrial instrumentation and controls, fire and security, voice/data, and energy management systems. Building power and lighting systems are part of the medium voltage system experience. Also included would be site industrial, street and parking lighting systems. Medium to high voltage system experience includes 4,160 volt and 13,800 volt power distribution systems for major universities and a federal health care facility. Our high voltage experience includes numerous projects involving systems at large college campuses, hospitals, and at large industrial facilities such as a 13,800 volt distribution system for a hospital renovation, a new hospital complex, and a 200,000 volt main service for industrial facilities. Calongne & Associates, Inc. designed the high 13,800 volt distribution system for the new Baton Rouge General Health Center, and has worked several projects involving modification of the high voltage system at the Hansen's Disease Center in Carville, Louisiana. The high voltage distribution system at LSU and Southern University have been modified and expanded with various projects. Mr. Calongne was involved with the maintenance of the LSU underground high voltage system and underground telephone system while he worked as Maintenance Engineer at LSU.

Calongne & Associates, Inc. has been active in designs of infrastructure for voice/data communication systems. Design services include voice and data wiring within small office renovation projects through new multi-story hospitals and medical research centers. The infrastructure design has included single and multi-mode fiber, level 3 through level 6 copper, and coaxial medium in support of voice, closed circuit TV, cable TV, imaging, security, and computer systems. Calongne & Associates has been involved with the placement of a data network for a major university, which included fiber distribution throughout the campus and cabling into the student dormitory buildings, with copper data wiring to individual student work stations. Calongne & Associates, Inc. has also been involved with design of school intercom systems, and hospital nurse call systems.
